Great deal on room rate. Staff couldn't have been more helpful, they were so lovely. The manager even took time to come sit with us and ask how we were finding our stay. In china town and right next to the markets. There's plenty to see there. There is a mrt station 10 minutes away or you can enjoy the half hour walk to the bts station, which the staff can direct you too, it's so easy to find, and you can go anywhere in Bangkok from there. Also buses, tuk tuks and taxis are all close by! If your a traveller looking for a friendly, budget hostel in bangkok this is ideal.
When you book the staff send you directions to give to taxi drivers. Our driver seemed a bit lazy and dropped us a bit of a way away so we spent the best part of an hour trying to find it. Once you've found the place it's a piece of cake to find it again. They gave us a business card with all details in Thai to give to drivers to get us back. It's just a bit hard to find at first.
Only a ten minute walk to Hualumphong station and five minutes from China town. Private bathroom despite being very cheap. The man working there was very helpful with any questions we had.
The bed was harder than any bed I have ever seen. It was honestly like sleeping on a carpeted floor. Our bathroom hadn't been cleaned from the previous guest. The whole building was very dirty. A bit like an old abandoned office, not a guest house. A very strange place. Purely because of the matress, I have to say do not stay here.
The price is obviously amazing, the location is right in the heart of China Town, the room might be very simple, but if you're looking for just a place to sleep you don't need anything else really, besides they have a little room with chairs, tables and a tv by the reception. The staff is super friendly and kind and really care about your needs.
Dirty (blankets, shower and toilet), very small, very thin walls
It was aweful! We arrived there totaly exhausted at seven in the morning and although the internet said that the reception would be open 24 hours a day, it wasnt. so we stood there for 1,5hours till we finally found a neighbour who could tell us that there was some kind of button, which opens the door hidden under the window, so we opened the door, entered and there was no one there, we had to wake up the guy who was sleeping in a room next to the floor. Plus no one knew Shadow Inn. We took a tuktuk from KhaoSanRoad to The Hospital nearby because although the tuktukdriver really tried to find the place and even asked several other tuktukdrivers there was no chance we could find it. We spent 2 hours looking around by foot till we finally found it. The adress written at Booked.net was no help at all because no one of the Thai people recognized it. The bed was no bed at all, it was really hard as stone - I am REALLY NOT KIDDING! In the description it said that there would be a balcony AND a own bathroom with a table but the guy only showed us two rooms: either the one with a bathroom or the one with a table. While showering the water stopped, my boyfriend went down to tell him and the guy who owns the hotel had to put in another electricity cable , we had to wait 15 minutes and the water came down again. Not to mention that there was no hot water. We were travelling as backpackers and we really had loads loads loooooaaaads of better accomodations for much much much cheaper then this one! So honestly: i would not recommend this place, not even for one night ( we also spent only one night there, as we went back to germany the other day!)
It's cheap and 15mins walking to train station and metro. The host are nice.
If you looking for some place to sleep for one to two nights, then fine, not really comfortable actually.By the way, there is no female room.
The cheapest hostel in bangkok
Dirty room Dirty shower Dirty hostel All in this hotel are really dirty
It is located right at the China Town it was excatly that we were looking for the this price
the rooms are different as shown on the picture
Everything is discusting, the bed is hard like stone. No cleaning, the toilet was the worst toilet i ever seen.. Do not go here..
It is only a 10-Minute walk to/from the train station, but still not easy to find.
It is even for Bangkok standards dirty (there was no sink in the bathroom, just a pipe coming out of the wall) and, if you compare it to other places which are not really more expansive, not a place you want to spend your time. It is good if you only need it for a night and want to save some Bath for a taxi to the train station.
